When the chips were down in Las Vegas, one team counted on each other to become the latest winners of The Amazing Race.
The final trio of competitors ?former Miss America Ericka Dunlap and her husband Brian Kleinschmidt, young couple Meghan Rickey and Cheyne Whitney, brothers Sam and Dan McMillen ?raced to Vegas for a final set of jaw-dropping challenges, which included scaling down the face of a casino, trying to attain flower power at Cirque du Soleil's The Beatles' Love and, gulp, knowing some basic geography. (Guess which one is hardest!)
And after all that and a tableful of chips, one team emerged as the million-dollar winner of the 15th installment. Who was it? Read...

Though The Blind Side still packed a wallop, the movies as a whole saw a typical post-Thanksgiving slide over the weekend. However, due to the momentum from last weekend's record Thanksgiving gross, overall business was the highest the timeframe has ever seen (although not in terms of attendance), up 21 percent over the same period last year.
As indicated by their close grosses last weekend, The Blind Side out-paced The Twilight Saga: New Moon to claim the top spot. Down 49 percent, the football-themed drama had the best hold among nationwide releases, racking up an estimated $20.4 million. With a super $129.3 million tally in just 17 days, it surpassed Rocky IV to become the highest-grossing sports drama on record (though it 's still a far cry off in terms of attendance). Among football movies, only the Adam Sandler comedies The Waterboy and The Longest Yard made more, and Blind Side will soon overtake them as well.

Naturally, after reading the brief history of the word "Heavage" on Schott's Vocab, I was obligated to blog it. Man cleavage is apparently in right now. Here, we see Alexander Skarsgard rocking some on True Blood, and here, we see him doing so in real life.
He's not the only believer in popping a few buttons. Who does heavage best, currently and all-time? I'm gonna go with Skarsgard and Michael Bolton, respectively. As I told the latter in 2005, rewatching his old music videos I came to appreciate the way he always knew exactly how many buttons to undo for "maximum hotness.

You'd think Joanna Krupa and her fiance, businessman Romain Zago, would have jumped right into bed when she was voted off of Dancing With the Stars.
You see, it wasn't long ago that the Playboy model admitted to us that Dwts had killed their sex life. "I have no time for anything except rehearsals," she told us back in late October. "When I get home from rehearsals, I don't want to be bothered. Cuddling is enough for me.
How are things now? Well, not too good?
"It hasn't really improved," Krupa told us this weekend of Kiis FM's Jingle Ball concert. "My fiance left town right as my time on the show ended!"
But things may take a turn for...

We know she hasn't had any truly memorable projects outside of her run on "24," but we wouldn't exactly say that Elisha Cuthbert has been forgotten. Oh wait. Nevermind. Elisha Cuthbert hasn't been forgotten, she's just been cast in a recurring role on ABC's mostly unremembered freshman procedural "The Forgotten." ABC announced on Monday (Dec. 7) that Cuthbert will join the cast of "The Forgotten" in February playing Maxine Denver, described as "a strong and successful Chicago professional who is forced to put her skepticism of 'amateur detectives' aside when The Forgotten Network begins investigating a case close to...

With Jim Carrey's daughter Jane Carrey, 21, expecting her first child this March, Jenny McCarthy thinks she and her boyfriend of four years will be amazing grandparents.
"I think he's going to make the world's best [grandfather] because he is so animated," McCarthy, 37, told People at ABC Family's World Record Elf Party on Monday in New York City. "I also think I am going to rock as the grandma. I love her and I am excited about this baby."
Although McCarthy admits that she can be pushy at times, the former playmate says that she and Carrey, 47, are going to

Apparently Fox has few qualms about putting Adam Lambert back on live television. The network announced today (Monday) that Lambert will appear on the season finale of So You think You Can Dance, scheduled to air on December 16. It will mark the controversial performer's first appearance on the network since he was announced as the No. 2 finalist in last season's American Idol last May. The dance contest is produced jointly by 19 Entertainment, which also produces American Idol, and Dick Clark Productions, which, along with ABC, yanked Lambert from an appearance on Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve show scheduled to air on December 31. The series finale of Monk went out impressively Friday night, setting a ratings record for a series episode on basic cable. The USA Network comedy-cum-detective-drama drew about 9.4 million viewers of which 3.2 million were adults 18-49, the group compulsively courted most obsessively by advertisers. By contrast not one show that aired on the broadcast networks Friday night drew as many viewers. The highest-rated show on the broadcast nets was CBS's Ghost Whisperer with 8.23 million viewers. And Fox, airing back-to-back hour-long episodes of the canceled Dollhouse, averaged just 2.05 million viewers for the entire night. ABC is confirming that 24 cougar bait Elisha Cuthbert is joining the cast of The Forgotten in a recurring role.
According to the hot-of-the-presses ABC press release, Cuthbert will play Maxine Denver, a "strong and successful Chicago professional who is forced to put her skepticism of 'amateur detectives' aside when The Forgotten Network begins investigating a case close to home."
Cuthbert is slated to debut on the ratings-challenged freshman drama in February, which is not long after she wraps up her multi-episode 24 return.
Getting back to the question I posed in the headline: Can Kim Bauer save The Forgotten? Or at the very least,

Ge's deal with Comcast to share ownership of NBC Universal contains a clause guaranteeing that Ge will continue as NBC's No. 1 advertiser, Advertising Age reported today (Monday), citing filings with the SEC. According to the trade publication, the clause commits Ge to spend "no less than $59 million of gross advertising" on NBC's broadcast and cable properties each year -- plus an additional $50 million for the 2012 Olympics. Suggesting that NBC may have been more costly to Ge than previously believed, AdAge reported that during the first nine months of this year, Ge took money from one pocket and put it into another, as it spent a whopping $145.9 million in ads on NBC properties -- and that was down 16.6 percent from last year -- mostly using funds from Universal's ad budget to promote movies and DVDs on the broadcast network and cable outlets. The Broadcast Film Critics Association is changing the name of its annual awards ceremony to the Critics' Choice Movie Awards, adding the word "Movie" to the title. "It dawned on us that for a show that's broadcast on VH1 and called the Critics' Choice Awards, we had to let them know it was a movie awards show," Bfca President Joey Berlin told Daily Variety. "It was a slap-on-your-forehead moment." The Bfca, composed of critics working in television, radio, and online, claims to be the largest film critics organization in the U.S. and Canada with 240 members. In other awards news, director Duncan Jones's Moon, starring Sam Rockwell in multiple roles, was voted best film at the British Independent Film Awards. Jones, who is the son of legendary singer David Bowie, also received the Best Debut Director prize. Leave Comments Here -- Spamming, Flaming, and Offensive Language Will Be Removed
